Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition – NSW Trustee and Guardian

* Ongoing Full time. 35 hours per week.
* Location: Sydney. Flexible and hybrid working options available.
* Clerk Grade: Level 11/12. Base salary $149,739 p.a. to $173,174 p.a. plus 12% superannuation and annual leave loading.

At NSW Trustee and Guardian our purpose is to support the rights, welfare, and interests of the people of NSW. The agency supports the NSW Trustee, the Public Guardian and the Commissioner of Dormant Funds to carry out their statutory functions. We do this by providing a range of customer-centred services, including Will-making, trustee, financial management and guardianship services, including some for the state's most vulnerable people.

We support over 50,000 customers annually and manage almost seven billion dollars in customer assets. We are a NSW government agency within the Communities and Justice Portfolio, our services help support and protect people at critical moments in their lives.

The People and Culture Division plays a critical role in enabling organisational performance by supporting the full employee lifecycle and fostering a positive, inclusive and high performing workplace. The division partners closely with leaders and teams to build capability, strengthen culture and ensure people practices are contemporary, compliant, and aligned to organisational priorities.

About the role

The Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition provides strategic leadership of NSW Trustee and Guardian's end-to-end recruitment function. Reporting to the Director, People and Culture, you will shape and deliver the organisation's talent acquisition strategy to ensure hiring practices are contemporary, compliant, inclusive and aligned to workforce priorities.

You will partner with the Senior Leadership Team and hiring managers to deliver high-quality recruitment outcomes, strengthen organisational capability and lift both candidate and hiring manager experience. You will lead employer branding and attraction initiatives, drive continuous improvement through data and insights, and build the performance and capability of the talent acquisition team and service model.

This is a senior leadership opportunity suited to an experienced talent acquisition professional who can balance operational delivery with longer-term reform and strategic workforce outcomes.

About you

You are a senior talent acquisition leader with proven experience delivering end-to-end recruitment services in complex, regulated environments. You bring strong knowledge of merit-based recruitment, relevant legislation and industrial instruments, and you can establish clear service standards that support consistent, high-quality hiring outcomes.

You have a strong track record influencing and advising senior leaders, communicating clearly and confidently on risk, process and selection decisions, and using workforce insights and data to improve attraction, assessment and efficiency. You are an effective people leader who develops high-performing teams and manages external recruitment suppliers to deliver a reliable, customer-focused service.

You will have:

* Significant experience leading talent acquisition strategy, and end-to-end service delivery
* Proven ability to build trusted partnerships with senior leaders and influence decisions in complex environments
* Demonstrated people leadership, with experience building team capability and driving continuous improvement

Essential requirements

* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources and/or demonstrated equivalent experience.
* Valid Driver's Licence and willingness to travel as required.
