We are seeking a positive and motivated Hire Coordinator to join our Gold Coast branch. In this pivotal customer‐facing role, you will coordinate the end‐to‐end hire process, from customer enquiries to contract administration and delivery scheduling.
You'll work closely with drivers, workshop teams, and branch management to ensure equipment is delivered, collected, serviced, and documented accurately and on time. Your ability to multitask, solve problems, and provide exceptional service will contribute directly to the efficiency and success of the branch.
Responsibilities
* Deliver exceptional customer service through prompt, professional communication across phone, email, and in person.
* Manage enquiries, bookings, and hire contracts, ensuring accurate advice, seamless processing, and timely updates.
* Coordinate transport, equipment readiness, and servicing to ensure on‐time deliveries and collections.
* Maintain accurate documentation, monitor overdue hires, and support account management to minimise risk and ensure compliance.
* Collaborate with operations and leadership to optimise fleet utilisation, identify demand trends, and support smooth branch operations.

Qualifications
* Experience in equipment hire, logistics, transport coordination, or a similar customer‐facing role (preferred but not essential).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer‐first mindset.
* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to multitask and problem‐solve in a fast‐paced environment.
* Confident in giving clear instructions to drivers and branch teams.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with hire systems (Point of Rental, Baseplan) is advantageous.
* Mechanical or equipment knowledge (advantageous).
* Current driver's licence (mandatory).
