What you'll be doing
You'll work closely with our multi-disciplinary teams, with hands-on project exposure, practical mentoring, and the guidance to keep moving toward your RPEQ (Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland).
Key responsibilities
* Design & Documentation: Deliver structural designs and documentation across concrete, steel, timber, and masonry aligned with NCC and Australian Standards.
* Wind Loading Expertise: Apply your knowledge of wind codes – experience here is a strong advantage.
* Technical Reporting: Produce clear, professional reports and specifications to support project delivery.
* Coordination & Review: Review drawings and documents, providing markups that enhance team collaboration.
* Site Engagement: Attend site inspections, respond to RFIs, and support construction-phase queries.
* Quality & Systems: Contribute to QA, meet project timelines, and improve internal templates and workflows.
* Team Collaboration: Work with engineers, architects, and designers to deliver integrated, client-focused solutions.
About You
You're a driven, detail-minded Structural Engineer who enjoys solving real problems with a team around you.
* A bachelor's degree in civil or Structural Engineering (essential).
* 3 – 10 years of hands-on experience in structural design, with a strong foundation in residential and suspended concrete slab projects (essential).
* Solid understanding of Australian Standards and the NCC, with confidence designing in concrete, steel, timber, and masonry.
* Proficiency in Spacegass, Inducta, Adobe Bluebeam (highly regarded), Revit knowledge would assist.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and colleagues.
* Open to candidates based in Brisbane or across Queensland who are interested in working on projects across regional and metropolitan communities. Full Australian working rights.
