Registered Nurse – Community Disability Support (Woy Woy)
Are you a compassionate and experienced RN looking to make a real difference in the community? We are currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to support residents living with physical and intellectual disabilities across two supported accommodation houses in Woy Woy.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for managing the complex health needs of seven residents (3 male, 4 female) aged between 37 and 83 years, living across two houses on the same block. The male residents are non-verbal and require sensitive, person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and manage medical and clinical care, including:
* Epilepsy management
* Catheter care
* PEG feeding regimes
* Dysphagia support
* Adherence to Modified Meal Plans (MMP) for oral intake
* Support AINs and DSWs with personal care tasks
* Monitor and document health status changes and escalate as required
* Collaborate with the care team to promote quality of life and dignity for all residents
Shifts Available:
* AM and PM shifts mostly but some ND
* Flexibility to work across a rotating roster will be highly regarded
What We're Looking For:
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
* Experience in disability or aged care settings
* Strong understanding of PEG, catheter, and seizure management
* Excellent communication skills, especially in working with non-verbal clients
* Compassionate, patient, and team-oriented approach
* NDIS Worker Screener (or willing to obtain) and Current CPR Certificate, HLTAID009 (or willing to obtain)
