Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Qualified Carpenter to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality carpentry work across residential building projects, including framing, lock-up, fix, and fit-off stages.
This role requires strong technical ability, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently to meet project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
* Interpret and work from construction drawings, plans, and specifications
* Carry out all aspects of carpentry, including:
* Wall and roof framing
* Installation of windows, doors, and structural components
* Lock‐up stage works
* Fixing and finishing carpentry (architraves, skirting, doors, etc.)
* Measure, cut, and assemble materials accurately
* Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with building codes and regulations
* Maintain a safe and clean work environment on site
* Work collaboratively with supervisors, trades, and other team members
* Meet project timelines and productivity targets
* Identify and report defects or issues on site
Skills & Experience
* Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent qualification
* Proven experience in residential construction (volume building experience highly regarded)
* Ability to read and interpret plans and technical drawings
* Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and tools
* High attention to detail and workmanship
* Good problem‐solving skills and ability to work independently
* Robust work ethic and reliability
Licences & Requirements
* White Card (Construction Induction Card)
* Valid driver's licence and reliable transport
* Own tools suitable for carpentry work
