About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Material Recovery Operative to support our efforts in reducing litter and promoting sustainability.
This role involves operating fast-paced recycling equipment, collecting, sorting, and disposing of recyclable drink containers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operate machinery used for bulk sorting of recyclable materials
2. Utilize forklifts to efficiently empty bins of sorted recyclables
3. Manage point-of-sale systems for accurate sales and refund transactions
4. Assist with additional tasks such as warehouse upkeep, maintenance of equipment, and reporting faulty items needing repair
You Will Need: Excellent communication skills, ability to provide outstanding customer service, experience in using heavy machinery like forklifts, and holding a valid Forklift Licence, along with previous work experience in a warehouse or production environment, physical stamina, and the capacity to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently.
