The Level 1-2 Speech Pathologist will be a valued member of the admitted Speech Pathology team who will provide clinical services in the hospital wards and departments. The role will work within the admitted caseload rotation system and is ideally suited to someone who has a strong interest in developing clinical skills in a range of acute and admitted subacute settings. There is opportunity to complete workplace learning in areas such as VFSS, FEES, laryngectomy, tracheostomy & paediatric feeding.
Qualifications
* Bachelor of Speech Pathology or equivalent and eligible for full practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia
* Demonstrated ability to assess, diagnose and manage communication, swallowing and oral motor disorders for the relevant clinical populations of AWH
* Demonstrated capacity to communicate effectively across a variety of teams in the advocacy of patient‐centred care and resolution of conflict
* Demonstrated commitment to quality and safety improvement activities
* Demonstrated ability to manage personal workload
* Demonstrated commitment to own professional development
