About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to join our Brisbane team and can support towards relocation costs if moving interstate. This role will see you working on some of Australia's most significant projects, including Defence facilities, Healthcare infrastructure, and Olympic developments. You will manage and maintain technical processes to assess and review projects, ensuring compliance with legislation and governing bodies. Supporting Senior Building Surveyors and Managers, you will play a vital role in delivering client and project needs efficiently and accurately. Key Responsibilities
* Assess project documentation and liaise with clients, providing recommendations for compliance with the Building Act, Regulations, and Building Code of Australia.
* Advise on modifications or performance solutions where compliance is not possible, investigating alternative avenues for resolution.
* Prepare technical reports outlining compliance requirements and recommendations.
* Manage documentation and job files to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
* Communicate with authorities and councils, ensuring requests for information are handled professionally and promptly.
* Assist the Business Unit team with day‐to‐day project management and assessments.
* Ensure invoicing targets are met and reporting functions align with office systems.
* Actively support and contribute to QHSE management systems, including quality control, safety, and auditing procedures.

* Professional communication skills with clients, colleagues, and consultants.
* Successful completion or undertaking of a relevant University degree (local or internationally recognised).
* Previous certification experience in a related field.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to check documentation accurately and on time.
* Team player with initiative to improve processes and procedures.
* Commitment to maintaining CPD requirements in line with state and national accreditation bodies.
