About The Role
Are you a detail‐driven Financial Accountant who thrives in a fast‐paced construction environment? We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded professional to join our growing team and play a key role in supporting the financial performance and operational success of our projects.
As the Financial Accountant, you will partner closely with operational leaders, project teams, and senior management to ensure strong financial governance, reporting accuracy, and strategic financial support across the business.

Key Responsibilities
* Must have construction industry experience
* Maintain accurate and compliant financial records and reporting
* Prepare month‐end and year‐end financial reports and reconciliations
* Monitor budgets, analyse variances, and provide recommendations
* Manage payroll processing and compliance with Awards and Fair Work requirements
* Prepare cashflow forecasts and identify financial risks
* Support tax compliance, audits, and statutory reporting obligations
* Manage supplier, subcontractor, and labour hire payments
* Ensure compliance with QBCC regulations and the Building Industry Fairness (BIF) Act
* Assist with Project Trust and Retention Trust management
About You
You are analytical, organised, and commercially aware, with strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams. You take ownership of your work, maintain high standards, and can confidently manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment. You bring strong construction industry experience and a sound understanding of QBCC requirements.
Skills & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
* Previous accounting experience within the construction industry
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
* Experience with Jonas Premier or similar accounting software
* Knowledge of QBCC and Building Industry Fairness legislation
