Remuneration: $35.10 p/hr + Super + NFP Salary Packaging (save tax and increase your take home pay)

Lifeline Queensland is part of a national network delivering crisis support, training and retail services to help Australians in need. The dispatch and retail operations support Lifeline's crisis support line and suicide prevention services.
Your role
* Assist with the supervision and training of sorters and volunteer staff; when required, assist with organising staff rosters, checking timesheets and sign-on sheets for paid and volunteer staff.
* Ensure staff are aware of and comply with all Workplace Health and Safety and Code of Conduct policies and procedures.
* Work with supervisors to assist in the development and improvement of Distribution Centre responsibilities and services.
* Provide assistance to ensure donated stock is sorted to meet production targets and quality standards required for all markets.
* Assist with sorting of donated goods when required.
* Oversee processing of shop orders to ensure adequate stock is distributed as available; monitor crates sent to shops and oversee sorting of bric-a-brac, books and other items in the distribution area.
* Ensure all equipment is maintained in good working order and arrange repairs as required; ensure only appropriately trained staff operate equipment.
* Provide assistance with ordering items when required, ensuring all items are stored appropriately.
* Promote a harmonious working environment where teamwork and a strong work ethic are encouraged.
* Understand and are responsible for quality control standards.
* May perform work requiring minimal supervision either individually or in a team environment.
* Maintain confidentiality and privacy in all matters relating to staff, customers, procedures and security.
* Undertake other duties as directed by your supervisor within the scope of the position and abide by all relevant policies, procedures, standards and legislation.
* Act as a customer-focused, values-based team member and work collaboratively with other UnitingCare staff and volunteers to achieve strong results across the Directorate.
* Ensure all paperwork relative to your role is recorded accurately and on a daily basis; work harmoniously with volunteers and other employees to promote a positive team environment.
Qualifications and expectations
* Sound working knowledge of distribution facility duties performed at levels below this grade.
* Ability to work with staff and volunteers; maintain confidentiality and safety standards.
