About BRAMS Broome Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (BRAMS) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service that has been delivering comprehensive, culturally safe primary health care to the Broome community for over 45 years.
About the Role We are seeking a Disability Services Support Worker Trainee to join our Community Services team in a paid traineeship. This is an opportunity to earn while you learn, completing a Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent qualification while building practical skills on the job.
Working under the direct supervision and mentorship of experienced Support Workers and the Disability Services Operations Manager, you will assist with personal care, domestic assistance, community access, transport, and individual and group activities, building the capability to deliver culturally responsive support to people with disability.

* Willingness to enrol in and complete a Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification.
* Genuine interest in disability support, with a commitment to improving the lives of others.
* Empathy, patience and a respectful approach to working with people with disability.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Reliable, punctual and able to follow instructions and workplace protocols.
* Commitment to culturally responsive care and an understanding of the importance of cultural safety for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
* Basic organisational and computer skills, with the ability to manage time, learn new systems, and use Microsoft Office.
