THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently seeking a motivated Trades Assistant to join our high-performing team based at our Electrical Workshop in Neerabup. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in the electrical industry while gaining hands on experience and structured training in a supportive workshop environment.
In this permanent full-time position, working Monday to Friday, you will assist with trailing and reeling cable repairs, support qualified tradespeople, and contribute to the efficient day-to-day operation of the workshop.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Actively participate in on-the-job training and development opportunities
* Assist with trailing and reeling cable repairs and maintenance activities
* Perform general workshop duties including manual handling and housekeeping
* Support tradespeople and workshop personnel with a variety of tasks and activities
* Receive, inspect, pack and dispatch goods and materials
* Maintain a safe, clean and organised work environment
* Follow company safety procedures and contribute to a strong safety culture
ABOUT YOU
* Motivated and proactive with a genuine desire to learn
* Reliable, honest and takes pride in completing quality work
* Current C Class Driver's Licence
* Current High Risk Work Licence (Forklift)
* Basic computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office programs (desirable)
* Strong commitment to workplace safety and a ZERO Harm culture
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
* Good communication skills and a positive attitude
* Previous experience in an electrical, manufacturing, workshop or trade environment (highly regarded but not essential)
