Our client, Rishika Transport Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Fleet Manager to join their growing transport operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing fleet operations, vehicle maintenance, transport scheduling, compliance management, and operational efficiency across the business.
Tasks Include:
* Organising and overseeing the purchase, maintenance, servicing, and utilisation of fleet vehicles and transport equipment.
* Monitoring fleet performance, fuel usage, maintenance schedules, repairs, and operational costs to improve efficiency and minimise downtime.
* Planning and coordinating transport schedules, vehicle allocation, and delivery operations to ensure timely services.
* Liaising with clients, suppliers, drivers, and service providers regarding transport requirements, operational matters, and fleet performance.
* Managing contracts and relationships with fuel suppliers, maintenance providers, leasing companies, and external contractors.
* Ensuring all vehicles comply with registration, licensing, Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL), safety, and Chain of Responsibility requirements.
* Preparing operational reports, fleet utilisation reports, maintenance records, and compliance documentation for management review.
* Investigating operational issues, vehicle breakdowns, delays, and compliance concerns and implementing corrective actions where required.
* Coordinating vehicle servicing, repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance programs.
* Supervising fleet operations and ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety policies and transport regulations.
Qualifications and other requirements
•Diploma level qualifications or equivalent in Transport Management, Logistics, Business or equivalent work experience.
•At least 3 years of Full-time work Experience as Fleet Manager, transport coordination, or logistics management.
•Strong understanding of transport compliance, vehicle maintenance, and operational planning.
•Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
•Ability to work independently and manage multiple operational priorities effectively.
•Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements within the transport industry.
