Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Retail Manager to lead our store operations and manage a dedicated team in delivering an outstanding shopping experience to our customers. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of retail management experience, a solid understanding of the liquor and beverage sector, and a passion for creating a customer‑centric retail setting. This full‑time position offers a competitive salary between $80,000 and $100,000 annually, based on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage day‑to‑day store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Lead, train, and develop a team of staff members, fostering a positive, productive, and customer‑focused work environment.
- Ensure stock levels are maintained and that all products, including beer, wine, and liquor, are properly displayed and organized.
- Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to achieve and exceed store targets and KPIs.
- Provide expert knowledge and advice to customers on products, helping them make informed purchasing decisions.
- Resolve customer queries and complaints in a skilled and timely manner, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Manage inventory, order stock, and conduct regular stocktaking to ensure accurate records.
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and legal requirements, including liquor licensing laws and age restrictions.
- Maintain store cleanliness, visual merchandising standards, and ensure the store aligns with brand guidelines.
- Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring financial targets are met and controlling operating costs.
- Assist in staff scheduling, performance reviews, and ongoing training.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of retail management experience, preferably in liquor stores, food and beverage, or similar retail environments.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- In‑depth knowledge of the liquor and beverage industry, including product knowledge and industry regulations.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced workplace and multitask effectively.
- Proficient in retail management software and POS systems.
- Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.
- Availability to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays when required.
