specialist in motor vehicle claims
— offering expert representation in liability and litigation matters across
Victoria and Queensland
.

Senior Lawyer
, you'll play a pivotal role in managing a high-volume caseload (typically 900–1,500 matters per lawyer per month) while providing leadership to a small, capable team of
two junior lawyers and three legal assistants
.
This is a
hands-on, client-facing role
with a balance of courtroom advocacy (3–4 pre-hearings and court appearances weekly) and meticulous file management.
Working closely with the
Legal Director
, you'll have the opportunity to shape the litigation practice, mentor emerging talent, and contribute directly to the firm's continued expansion.

* Draft, prepare, and review pleadings, submissions, and court documents.
* Conduct 3–4 court appearances per week across Victoria and Queensland jurisdictions.

* Oversee case strategy, settlement negotiations, and client communication.
* Ensure compliance with practice standards, deadlines, and billing targets.

3+ years PAE in civil, commercial, or insurance litigation (motor vehicle claims highly regarded).

* Excellent leadership, mentoring, and organisational skills.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
* Proactive communicator who enjoys client contact and teamwork.
* Ambitious, career-driven, and seeking progression to Special Counsel or beyond.
* Fully committed to in-office collaboration — you'll work on-site in Preston (Mon – Fri, 9 am – 5 pm).
Why this role?
* Supportive, approachable leadership — you'll work directly with the Legal Director.
* Genuine career growth with pathways to Special Counsel and leadership roles.
* 10 days of study leave annually and paid CPD sessions.
* Collaborative culture, monthly team lunches, gym access nearby, and a vibrant office atmosphere.
* Convenient Preston location with parking available.
