Job Expectations
We're looking for people based in Yamba, Maclean, or Grafton who enjoy practical, hands‐on work and are open to trying something new. You might come from a trade, technical background, or any role where you work with your hands. People with experience in plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, construction, civil works, hospitality, customer service, manufacturing, and similar industries have all thrived in this position. Safety is at the core of everything we do, and we're looking for people who value working safely, following procedures, and looking out for their teammates and customers. If this sounds like you, nbn would love to support you as you grow into a Customer Field Technician within our internal workforce.
Role Overview
As a Customer Field Technician in Yamba, Maclean, and Grafton, you'll work independently to complete a variety of tasks across different nbn technologies. Your work will include installations, repairs, maintenance, and supporting customers in their homes or businesses. You might install copper or fibre cabling, set up customer equipment, identify and fix faults, and ensure customers feel supported and informed throughout the process. Working hours are between 7am and 7pm, with flexibility based on business needs. You'll receive full training, all required tools, and ongoing support so you feel confident and set up for success.
Safety is a substantial part of this role—whether you are handling equipment, working in customers' premises, or completing technical tasks, you'll be expected to consistently apply safe work practices and follow nbn's safety procedures.
About You

Experience in fields such as plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, labouring, construction, mechanical work, hospitality, or manufacturing is highly valued.
