Role Overview
Hedland Senior High School (SHS) in the Pilbara, WA, is looking for a secondary Arts teacher for a 7‐month fixed‐term full‐time position commencing immediately, with options to start in Term 3, 2026.
The successful candidate will support the vibrant Arts Learning Area, deliver drama, dance and/or music lessons aligned with the WA Curriculum, and may engage in team teaching.
Responsibilities
* Plan, deliver and assess learning for secondary Arts students (drama, dance, music).
* Collaborate with the Arts team to develop and implement interdisciplinary projects.
* Support student participation in the Creative Arts Extension program, including productions, showcases and exhibitions.
* Contribute to the school's culture of positive behaviour and high standards of behaviour & performance.
Qualifications
* Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent residence or a valid visa with work rights.
* Current or recent teaching qualification and relevant experience in drama, dance or music.
* Knowledge of the WA Curriculum and competency in secondary Arts delivery.
* Strong collaborative and communicative skills.
