About the role
The Judicial Support Officer (JSO) provides support to Magistrates before, during and after court sittings and must be comfortable using technology, thrive in a fast-paced environment, work well under pressure, have strong attention to detail and are committed to providing a quality service. The role manages competing priorities, is flexible and adaptable, and provides training and acts as a technical escalation to junior staff.
The Supervising Customer Service Officer (SCSO) is responsible for coordinating the physical and human resources for a work team within the Magistrates Court of Western Australia. They provide an advisory service to all internal and external customers in relation to practices and procedures of the Magistrates Court of Western Australia. The role provides leadership, training, and guidance to court staff.
Both roles require a good understanding of court practices and procedures, a customer service focus, and the ability to work collaboratively to achieve commons goals in a team environment.

To be eligible for appointment to permanent positions in the West Australian Public Sector you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia.

Pool Recruitment
This pool will be open for a period of 24 months from the day after the breach of standard claim period closes. Permanent, fixed term, full time and part time appointments may be offered as vacancies arise; however, an appointment is not guaranteed.
The Department of Justice uses recruitment pools to build a bank of talent for future opportunities. Applicants found suitable in this pool, may be considered for subsequent, similar vacancies, with the Department of Justice for the duration of the pool.
