About the Opportunity
Reporting to the HSE Superintendent, the HSE Coordinator supports the effective implementation of HSE systems and processes at the Kal East Gold Project. This role plays a key part in driving a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance, and supporting site-based risk management initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
Partnering with leaders to promote a proactive safety culture
Leading incident investigations and risk assessments
Liaising with management, employees, contractors, and stakeholders on HSE matters
Coordinating and delivering onsite safety training
Overseeing medical and emergency response activities
Coaching supervisors to improve incident investigation quality
Maintaining a strong on-site presence to provide practical support
Monitoring safety performance and identifying improvement opportunities
Supporting compliance with legislative and site safety requirements
About You
Current Australian Driver's License
Cert IV in Work Health & Safety
Cert IV in Training & Assessment
Strong experience in mining/resources in a similar role
ICAM Lead Investigator experience
Strong HSE and training knowledge
Sound understanding of OHS legislation, risk, critical risk, and contractor management
Knowledge of injury management and workers' compensation
Demonstrated team leadership capability
Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
Proactive, solutions-focused approach with a strong commitment to safety
Experience with Incident Management and Emergency Response Functions
