The Role
This role is a member of a hardworking, proactive and committed team who are responsible for the operational day-to-day management of maintenance projects and shutdowns within safety, timing and budget parameters.
* Ensuring site safety protocols and standards are applied across all work undertaken;
* Supervision of maintenance projects and shutdown activities across all areas of the plant, including all internal and external labour requirements;
* Supporting your team with constructability reviews during design processes;
* Assisting in the development of appropriate contracts for implementation of design and construction works;
* Providing clear communication, information and input to team during the project lifecycle process; and
* Liaise closely with operations customers to ensure that any maintenance project and shutdown execution plans are facilitated at plant level.
About You
This role would suit a person who possesses both technical competence and strong people management skills.
* A relevant trade qualification in an Electrical discipline;
* Demonstrated 5 years supervisory experience in the mechanical/construction fields;
* Proven ability to diagnose problems and implement prevention controls;
* Able to develop, communicate and adhere to implementation and execution schedules;
* Manage multiple tasks at once;
* Good computer skills with the ability to use integrated management systems, word processing, presentation and spreadsheet applications;
* Past experience in managing costs and budgeting;
* A high-level understanding of all relevant legislation relevant to the role in the mining industry in WA;
* Able to read and understand mechanical drawings.
