About Us
KOOKI is a support service that helps people embrace the things that make them unique. Our clients include children, young people and adults with a range of disabilities and/or diagnoses, from diverse social, economic, cultural and demographic backgrounds.
We support our clients to work towards their goals and improve their quality of life, often in collaboration with allied health professionals such as:
* Occupational Therapists
* Speech Pathologists
* Behaviour Practitioners and
* Psychologists
Our role is to reinforce and generalise the skills developed in therapy (e.g. communication, emotional regulation, daily living skills) into real-life home and community settings.
Our support services focus on key areas such as:
* Communication and social skills
* Play and emotional regulation
* Functional life skills
* In-home support and home maintenance
* Activities of daily living
* Community access, participation and engagement

About You
We're looking for people who:
* Have a positive, warm and uplifting personality
* Show empathy, sensitivity and compassion in their work
* Can work effectively with both children and adults, with and without disabilities
* Are comfortable working independently and also as part of a team
* Can collaborate well with a multidisciplinary team
* Have a strong work ethic and are committed to providing high-quality support
Criteria
* Six months of support work experience is an advantage, but not essential, we welcome keen learners
* Currently studying or completed a study in a relevant filed is desired but not essential
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
* Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
* Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain)
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Confidence using Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new systems
* 100 points of ID
* A valid Driver's Licence (minimum P1)
* Access to a registered, reliable vehicle with at least third-party insurance, or willingness to obtain

Job Type: Casual
Pay: $32.88 – $35.15 per hour
