We have various roles in a variety of wards. Our volunteers provide non-clinical support to patients and also assist the ward staff with a variety of tasks.
The role
Volunteers can play an important and active role in various ways:
* Talking to patients about current events and surroundings.
* Assisting patients with completion of menus.
* Supporting patient with activities that they enjoy based on their preferences.
* Engaging patients in social interaction as well as diversional activities.
* Assist ward staff and ward clerk with miscellaneous tasks that may include:
o Photocopying
o Collation of Admin packs
o Restocking PPE/shelves/trolleys
Need to know
Training will be provided. Shift times vary.
To enhance healthcare services by coordinating dedicated volunteers who provide support, comfort, and care across Northern Adelaide.
