Responsibilities
* Champion the Risk Management Framework and set risk appetite across the bank.
* Lead prudential and conduct risk outcomes, operational resilience, third‐party risk and regulatory engagement.
* Embed risk thinking into first‐line decision‐making, providing practical guardrails for management.
* Demonstrate success through integration as a trusted executive peer, board confidence, and capability uplift across the risk function and the broader organization.
Qualifications
* Senior risk leader with substantive experience in an APRA‐regulated banking or financial services environment.
* Experience in prudential and conduct risk, operational resilience, financial crime, regulatory engagement and technology/platform transformation at scale.
* Strong judgment and outcomes‐focused approach, with ability to translate risk appetite into practical frameworks used by first‐line leaders.
* Comfortable operating in ambiguity; capable of advising executives on complex trade‐offs and raising issues early.
* Strong people‐leadership skills, able to develop commercially literate and member‐centred risk teams and build relationships across the executive team.
* Commercially literate, attuned to pace, and motivated by purpose‐driven mission.
