About the role
Due to our continuous growth, we are seeking a System Engineer to be based at our newly built Automated Distribution Centre in Truganina, with a hybrid work arrangement that includes at least one onsite day per week. Reporting to the Head of Merch & Supply Chain Technology, you will utilize your expertise in Warehouse Automation and Control Systems, including shuttle systems, robotics, and various conveyor systems.
This role will be highly involved in managing the systems responsible for executing the physical logistics aspects of International Shipping, Distribution Centre Storage and Handling, together with Transport to Store. Your main responsibility will be to analyze and define system requirements, focusing on improvements and fixing defects to enhance business efficiency. Additionally, you will oversee the full application management lifecycle, including monitoring system performance to optimize software functionality.

About you
We are looking for an individual with a customer-centric mindset and the ability to understand issues, consult, and advise on solutions consistent with design and security standards. You will have excellent communication skills to manage expectations, gain agreement, and resolve conflicts. Additionally, you will have:
Knapp system automation experience is highly desirable.
Experience with Warehouse Automation systems, robotics, and control systems.
Demonstrated experience in technical software management, including implementing and testing new versions of system software.
A self-starter attitude with the initiative to learn new systems and willingness to collaborate with team members.
Proficiency or willingness to learn management of complex systems, processes, and system configuration.
Experience in problem and incident management, monitoring service delivery performance metrics.
A tertiary qualification in IT, computer science, business, or a related field, and an ITIL certification are preferred but not essential.
Experience with supply chain IT systems and related business-technology challenges.
Please note that this role requires some on-call availability to respond to urgent issues outside of regular working hours during scheduled on-call periods.
