Role
About the Role Estia Health Glen Waverley is seeking an experienced Chef to join the team as the Head Chef on a Permanent Full-Time basis (Mon - Fri). In this busy, diverse and challenging role you will deliver exceptional service to our residents to ensuring their meal experience is to the highest standard.
Responsibilities
* As Chef you'll: Join a passionate team of food creators striving to deliver excellence in food nutrition catering to individual and diverse needs
* Make a warm and welcoming environment where residents can look forward to enjoying a meal in the company of others
* Make a rewarding contribution by creating nutritious and healthy meals that bring delight to our residents
* You'll be a real team player who: Brings their passion for creating nutritious, healthy and delicious food to create meal experiences that enrich the lives of our residents
* Takes great pride in preparing and delivering appropriately nutritious food to the highest quality and service standards in line with Estia Health guidelines
* Uses their attention to food handling and hygiene standards and the ability to ensure menus can cater to diverse individual needs
* Trains and mentors, their kitchen team to the expected standards
Qualifications & Requirements
* Experience as a Chef in a kitchen setting, with the ability to deliver high-quality meals to residents
* Ability to prepare nutritious, healthy and delicious meals that meet individual dietary needs
* Strong knowledge of food handling and hygiene standards
* Comfort in training and mentoring kitchen staff to required standards
* Commitment to upholding Estia Health guidelines and service standards
