Salary: $90,235 - $103,724 + salary packaging + super + 5 weeks annual leave.

Social Work Department
Social Work at the Women's aims to improve the health and well‐being of women and babies attending the Women's. Social workers offer support through maternity, neonatal, gynaecological and oncology experiences and provide advocacy, counselling, support and information for women in response to health and social needs.
About the Role
This position provides an experienced Grade 2 Social Worker with unique opportunities to further develop their skills in women's health. With excellent supervision and support, the successful applicant will provide holistic care to patients, including developing case plans, supporting adjustment to new diagnoses, undertaking risk assessments for vulnerable patients, discharge planning, liaising with other healthcare providers and managing a caseload.
Your duties will include (but are not limited to)
* Provide a high quality evidence‐based social work service to the patients of the Women's, including psychosocial assessment, crisis intervention, short‐term counselling, bereavement care, advocacy, community liaison and referral, case management and discharge planning.
* Ensure prompt assessment of newly referred patients.
* Work closely with the multidisciplinary team involved in the care of women and their families.
* Provide supervision to Social Work students as required.
About You
To be successful within this role you will need to have:
* Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Social Work and membership eligibility with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
* Demonstrated theoretical understanding and an intersectional approach to clinical practice with victims/survivors of family violence and sexual assault, knowledge of complex trauma and the child protection system.
* Demonstrated knowledge in psychosocial assessment, crisis intervention, short‐term counselling, bereavement care, advocacy, community liaison, referral, case management and discharge planning.
* Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and to establish and maintain functional networks with a wide variety of health personnel and other service providers.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to manage a demanding workload, prioritise tasks and seek guidance and support as appropriate.
