Lecturer in Polymer Properties

Responsibilities
* Conduct experimental research and data analysis supporting three funded projects in atmospheric water management, artificial muscles, and rubber‐band batteries.
* Undertake a six‐month research secondment at DTU in Copenhagen.
* Develop and deliver high‐quality teaching materials and coursework in polymer properties.
* Prepare research manuscripts for submission to high‐ranking international journals.
* Supervise and mentor HDR and undergraduate project students, and contribute to grant applications and school governance.

You will join the School of Engineering within the Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences, a collaborative, research‐active environment committed to innovation and real‐world impact. Working closely with the Head of School, senior academics, and multidisciplinary research teams, you'll contribute to a vibrant community focused on advancing materials engineering and supporting student success.
Qualifications
* PhD in polymer properties, polymer engineering, polymer physics, or a closely related field.
* Demonstrated expertise in materials testing and characterisation (mechanical testing, DSC, FTIR, DMA).
* A quality publication record with contributions to respected international journals.
* Experience preparing or contributing to competitive research grant applications.
* Proven ability to work collaboratively within diverse, multidisciplinary research teams.

* Level B | $122,478 - $141,446 + superannuation commensurate with experience and capability.
