This is a full-time opportunity for a Strong Men Leading Change Project Officer to join the Big Rivers Health Promotion team at Katherine West Health Board.
The successful candidate will lead the coordination and delivery of a culturally grounded, community-led initiative focused on preventing Domestic, Family, and Sexual Violence (DFSV).
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinating and facilitating culturally safe yarning circles and consultations across KWHB communities to explore men's attitudes, beliefs, and experiences related to DFSV.
* Providing community-based education on the drivers and impacts of DFSV, promoting available support services, and fostering understanding of healing pathways.
* Planning healing-centred activities such as bush trips, storytelling sessions, and cultural programs that support men's wellbeing and reconnection to culture.
* Collaborating with Elders and community leaders to ensure cultural alignment and strengthen local leadership throughout the project.
* Assisting in developing a sustainability framework to integrate successful project elements into ongoing KWHB programs.
