As a Senior Program Advisor you will need to define and implement systems that encourage contractors to work safely, provide assurance that contractors are working safely.
You will play a key role in assessing the risk of a range of project activities so that priority can be given to higher risk actions.
Responsibilities
Proactively develop solutions as well as being able to detect issues and influence change.
Develop and implement site specific Health, Safety Environment and Quality programs and management procedures relevant to contract delivery structure.
Create, administer and maintain site safety governance systems and documentation that can be used across multiple projects.
Review and audit contractor safety systems and documentation prior to the specific activity commencing. This will include providing written review feedback on contractor safety systems.
Assessing contractor’s secure work systems prior to site works commencing
Contribute to the development and implementation of plans regarding key health and safety strategies, issues, and risks.
Prepare monthly Health & Safety (H&S;) report including reporting against H&S; performance indicators.
Accountable for reviewing contractor Secure Work Method Statements (SWMS) and site-specific H&S; Management Plan
All relevant regulatory and compliance requirements related to the activities of this role, must be adhered to.
To be successful in this type of role
Cert IV & Diploma in WSHQE
3+ years’ experience working with WHS Programmes
A genuine interest in the renewable energy space
Must be an excellent communicator and able to build rapport with all key stakeholders.
Be able to carry out meetings and presentations with both your team and the client.
Excellent administration and computer systems
Demonstrate a real passion for safety.
