Position Overview
Lead our Sutherland Mechanical team as Associate Mechanical Engineer, overseeing concept and detailed mechanical design and documentation across diverse projects.
Responsibilities
* Attend client and stakeholder design meetings.
* Manage key projects and coordinate mechanical and MEP design delivery.
* Lead tenders and proposals.
* Obtain and prepare detailed project plans, including budgets, time forecasts and resource planning.
* Procure new projects for the Mechanical and wider JN team.
* Build key client relationships.
* Grow and develop a mechanical design team.
Qualifications
* Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
* Minimum of 8 years' experience working within the Building Services industry.
* Strong understanding of chilled water, condenser water, water reticulation, VRF/VRV, DX/heat pump systems, heat recovery systems, air reticulation and delivery.
* Strong understanding of relevant Australian Standards and National Construction Code.
* Experience in managing multi-disciplinary project teams.
* Strong understanding and experience in applying and implementing HVAC standards such as AS1668.1, AS1668.2, AS4254, AS3666, AS1682, AS5149 and other HVAC relevant standards.
* Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex information verbally and in writing with all stakeholders.
* Personable work approach and ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
* Greenstar or NatHERS accreditation or proven ongoing commitment to innovative sustainability measures beneficial but not required.
