This 12-week paid summer placement offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on industry experience, exposure to world-changing innovations, and low-carbon technologies.
The role is based on site at either Pinjarra or Wagerup Alumina Refinery, where you will be assigned a project that delivers real value to the business and provides you with valuable industry experience.
About the Project
* You will be exposed to a combination of data and statistical analysis of process information, refinery sampling and laboratory analysis.
* You will be involved in process troubleshooting, computer-based data manipulation and trending heat and mass balances.
About You
* We are interested in hearing from students who are currently studying tertiary qualifications in Chemical Engineering, Minerals Processing or a related discipline.
* Ideally, we are looking for students in their penultimate year of study, however we do accept applications across all year groups.
* You should be self-motivated and passionate for your chosen discipline, eager to learn and expand your knowledge.
* You should be capable of working independently with the ability to communicate and engage with multiple stakeholders to obtain a project outcome.
* You should be a strong team player with effective time management, organisational and problem-solving skills.
