Ballarat Emergency Department Registrar – Multiple Positions | Full Time and Part Time
We are seeking Registrars to join the Emergency Department at Grampians Health – Ballarat Campus. These positions offer excellent training opportunities, including rotations through ICU, anaesthetics, and other specialty departments.
The Emergency Department has:
* Main department of 19 beds
* Fast-track
* Paediatric ED (5 beds)
* Short Stay Unit (12 beds)
* Front of house model
* Resuscitation areas (3 bays)
The hospital is being redeveloped and a new Emergency Department will be opened (likely) early 2028.
The Emergency Department manages over 60,000 presentations annually, including approximately 25% paediatric cases, with an increasing admission rate of 24–25%.

Our campus is a major teaching site affiliated with the University of Melbourne and Deakin University Clinical Schools.

Candidates should ideally be working towards or eligible for registration with the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) or have a strong interest in pursuing Emergency Medicine training. At a minimum, applicants must hold General Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
