Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Geometric Models for Non-Diffeomorphic Shape Evolution
We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral research fellow to join our team and contribute to the development of advanced geometric models for non-diffeomorphic shape evolution.
The successful candidate will work on creating methodological foundations for using modern AI and data science techniques for modeling morphological variation. This will involve developing mathematically rigorous methods that preserve the geometric foundation for diffeomorphic shape analysis.
The postdoc project will span between geometric models, mathematical modeling, actual application, and numerical implementation. Part of this is to bridge between pure mathematical description of shape and biologically relevant features. The developed shape models need to allow efficient numerical implementations, and numerical implementation is an important part of the work.
We offer a dynamic and international research environment where you will have the opportunity to apply mathematical and computational tools to solve important theoretical, methodological, and applied problems.
