Overview
This is a fantastic opportunity for an NV1 cleared Network Engineer with some existing experience or those eager to launch their career in Network Engineering at Telstra. You will support Telstra's Defence customers and networks, learning from real-world challenges and working with experienced professionals. This permanent Defence role is based onsite in Canberra (preferred), Sydney, or Melbourne. You will work on a rotating 24x7 shift roster and are required to work all shifts onsite.

Responsibilities
* Investigate and resolve network incidents and alarms
* Assist with network changes following customer and management processes
* Keep accurate records and support service reporting
* Join incident calls and provide technical updates
* Follow change, incident, and problem-management guidelines
* Carry out standard operational tasks and maintenance
Qualifications
* Ideally 2 years hands-on experience in Network Engineering
* Active NV1 security clearance (mandatory), NV2 preferred
* Understanding of data communications, routing, switching, and telecommunications
* Familiarity with VLANs, Spanning-Tree, wireless technologies, and WAN/BAN routing protocols (OSPF, BGP)
* Exposure to Juniper, Cisco, Nortel, or Avaya networking products
* ITIL Foundation or Practitioner certification (desirable)
* Defence or enterprise ICT environment experience (desirable)
* Active Defence clearance required for consideration; this role requires holding and maintaining an Australian Government NV1 Security Clearance
