The Role
We have two exciting temporary part time Laboratory Assistant (Nursing) roles available until 26 June 2026 (unless otherwise determined) to join the Faculty of Nursing and Community Services.
- 0.2 FTE (7 hrs 38 mins /week) at TAFE Queensland’s Southbank Campus, programmed on Wednesdays
- 0.32 FTE (12 hours/week) at TAFE Queensland’s Caboolture campus, programmed day to be confirmed.
TAFE Queensland is seeking a Simulation Technical Assistant (Nursing) to support staff and students during Clinical Skills sessions within our simulated nursing training wards. This hands on role is responsible for providing technical assistance to ensure the smooth operation of simulation scenarios, contributing indirectly to the practical learning experience of nursing students. The position supports the Nursing Team by maintaining simulated Nursing and healthcare training wards in accordance with relevant standards and procedures. This position reports to the Clinical Laboratory Manager.
Salary
The salary range for a Laboratory Assistant (Nursing) is $66,840.76 - $70,988.94 (gross) per annum plus superannuation contributions of 12.75% of your salary.

Highly Desirable Requirements
- Healthcare qualification - Certificate III and above (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years recent and relevant industry experience.
- Moderate skill and application in the Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel)
