Direct Sales Consultant – Melbourne – Shell Energy
Shape your future with Shell Energy. We are looking for a Direct Sales Consultant to join the Powershop B2C team. This role focuses on acquiring and retaining residential and SME customers across the Powershop and Kogan Energy brands through inbound and outbound sales channels.
Responsibilities
* Acquire new customers across Powershop and Kogan Energy brands.
* Manage inbound enquiries (calls, web, email) and outbound follow‐ups.
* Complete sales and partial sign‐ups via outbound contact where required.
* Deliver cross‐sell campaigns and support bill messaging activities.
* Achieve monthly sales, quality assurance, and compliance targets.
* Provide a high standard of customer service.
* Adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements.
* Complete required training and compliance modules.
* Support campaign‐based acquisition activities as needed.
Team Collaboration
* Pricing Operations to implement price changes accurately and efficiently.
* Trading and Retail Middle Office to reflect appropriate wholesale costs in customer pricing.
* Finance and Commercial Strategy to support forecasting and long‐term financial outcomes.
* Regulatory and Compliance teams to manage regulatory change and obligations.
* Customer teams to ensure pricing aligns with customer value propositions.
Requirements / Attributes Needed
* Experience in telephone‐based sales.
* Comfortable working in a KPI‐driven environment.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to sell multiple products across different brands.
* Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements (energy sector experience desirable).
