**The Role**
Hudson has partnered with a high-profile government department seeking to engage three suitably qualified APS 6 Policy and Legislation Officers to assist with policy and legislative considerations, governance arrangements and stakeholder engagement within an existing program.
If you have public policy and/or law skills and experience, are based in Canberra and have a baseline clearance, then this may be the role for you.
**Duties**:
- Undertake research, analysis and provide advice on business requirements, policy, and legislation.
- Consideration of policy implications for the project, including consideration of relevant existing sector infrastructure and the education and training environment.
- Assist in the development of a range of policy documents, including consultation papers, facts sheets, meeting papers, briefs and talking points.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and represent the work area in relation to policy and legislative development.

- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound judgement, analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
**Qualifications and Education**
- Tertiary qualifications in a field relevant to public policy and/or law would be desirable but not essential.
