Job Description
We are currently seeking a Full Time Commis Chef to join the professional and dynamic kitchen team. As a Commis Chef you will work across breakfast, lunch and dinner, helping to create memorable culinary moments for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and present menu items with variety and flair, within the cost margins specified by the hotel.
* Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage, maintaining stock control procedures.
* Keep all working areas clean and tidy, including washing dishes and maintaining kitchen equipment. Report any problems to the Head Chef.
Qualifications
* Trade qualification and experience in a similar role, preferably within a hotel or restaurant environment.
* Excellent technical knowledge with experience in a variety of cooking techniques and styles.
* Exemplary communication skills.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Ability to maintain high and consistent standards.
* Demonstrated ability to maintain food safety standards and understanding of HACCP.
* Availability to work across a 7‐day rotating roster, including mornings, evenings and weekends.
