Work type: Part Time (Max Term) 22.5 hours per week
Schedule: Expected to work weekdays with the ability to cover Saturday shifts and rotate through weekend and public holidays.
Location: Position primarily at Rosebud, can be shared between Peninsula Private, Beleura and/or Frankston labs.

Dorevitch Pathology is a Healius business. We provide a substantial portion of Australia's pathology services, operating across metropolitan, regional and remote areas. Our labs serve large hospitals as well as small Indigenous communities, offering job stability and interstate mobility for our staff.
Responsibilities
* Perform manual and automated diagnostic testing.
* Perform all routine procedures from specimen reception to execution of results for pathological diagnosis, including specimen dissection.
* Assist with Stock Control.
* Maintain records and document results in line with protocols.
* Maintain and operate equipment in accordance with protocols.
* Keep current scientific knowledge.
* Participate in routine and audit‐related Quality Assurance activities.
* Contribute to continuous improvement and development of new assays as required.
* Train staff.
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders (referring practitioners) regarding test results or referrals.
* Adhere to Policies and Procedures, Workplace Health and Safety Procedures and Quality Assurance Processes.
Qualifications
* Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Laboratory Science) or equivalent.
* Demonstrated experience, knowledge, expertise and skills within the discipline.
* Sound knowledge of QC, QAP and troubleshooting.
* Demonstrated ability to identify, develop and implement quality and service improvement activities in accordance with NATA/ISO accreditation/certification.
* Ability to perform duties independently with infrequent supervision.
* Outstanding commitment to quality and excellence.
* Willingness to adhere to departmental and organisational policies and procedures.
* Positive attitude toward achieving outcomes and being a cohesive team member.
* Strong time management, interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to manage and thrive in a busy environment.
