About the role
The Occupational Therapists work as part of the Justice Health and Wellbeing Services (JHWS) multidisciplinary team and deliver occupational therapy assessments, intervention, and care planning to people incarcerated in Western Australian prisons. JHWS multidisciplinary teams are made up of highly specialised staff including nurses, consultant psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, Aboriginal mental health workers and prison support officers.
