Role Description
We are seeking to appoint a part‐time Science Technician to work across our Science department as part of a hard‐working team. Most of the work will be as a Chemistry technician.
Responsibilities
* Provide a high level of technical assistance to teaching staff in the department.
* Support staff in delivering the curriculum up to A Level.
Contract
Fixed term contract ending 31st August 2027.
Hours of Work
21.5 hours per week, 36 weeks per year (term time, INSET days plus 10 additional days in school holidays). One of the days worked must be a Thursday.
Start Date
September 2026.
Requirements
* Reliable, well‐organised and with a working knowledge and interest in Science.
* Previous technician experience desirable.
* Science‐related degree desirable.
* A Levels in at least one science subject essential for those without a degree.
* Commitment to safeguarding of children and young people; all applicants will be subject to pre‐employment screening, which includes an enhanced DBS, reference check and online searches.
