Responsibilities
* Manage breeding, feeding, raising and milking of livestock.
* Plan all aspects of milk production processes.
* Coordinate and implement reproductive programs, including artificial insemination and herd fertility management.
* Detect oestrous and pregnancy, assist in controlled breeding experiments.
* Conduct calving procedures and unsupervised internal assessments to minimise stillbirths or injuries.
* Plan and manage pastures and crops for livestock production.
* Develop livestock feeding plans and analyse produce to set standards of quality.
* Supervise animal health programs, handle sick or injured animals, maintain optimal environment for wellbeing.
Qualifications
* Minimum 3 years experience in dairy farming.
* Knowledge of Australian Animal Welfare qualifications and experience.
