The Role & Project
MACA Mining are seeking an experienced Leading Hand HD Fitter to join our field team at the Gruyere Gold Mine project located within the Yamarna Greenstone Belt approximately 200 kilometres east of Laverton in Western Australia.
Fleet includes CAT Shovel, Sandvik DR410i, DI650i, DP / drills, Komatsu PC and Liebherr / excavators.
Key responsibilities
* Possess a positive leadership style, with exceptional time‐management skills and the ability to pivot around priorities while providing guidance, assistance, and supervision to the maintenance team.
* Manage performance, planning servicing, repair and preventative maintenance of heavy mobile mining equipment.
* Ensure work health and safety policies and procedures are adhered to.
* Ensure all required paperwork is completed to a high standard by tradespeople.
* Be proactive in the workplace to ensure quality work is being completed.
* Comply with reasonable requests from the supervisor.
Required qualifications
* Relevant Australian Recognised Trade Certificate.
* Minimum of 2 years post‐trade experience working on heavy mining equipment – Liebherr excavators, Sandvik drills, CAT shovel.
* Good knowledge of work health and safety policies and procedures.
* Good leadership and people skills.
* Basic computer skills.
