Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Bookkeeper
to join our client's team based in Norwood. This role will suit someone who is confident managing end-to-end bookkeeping, has solid payroll experience, and can effectively oversee and delegate work to a small offshore team. You'll work closely with both local and overseas staff to ensure all financial and reporting deadlines are met efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage bookkeeping for
20–25 clients per month
, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Oversee
payroll processing
for
15–20 clients monthly
, using
Bassworx
.
* Handle
BAS preparation and lodgment
, managing approximately
150 BAS per quarter
, in collaboration with the accounting team.
* Perform
bank and credit card reconciliations
, data entry, and maintenance of accurate financial records.
* Liaise with clients to obtain required financial data and documentation.
* Supervise and delegate weekly tasks to a
team of two offshore staff
based in Vietnam, ensuring accountability and productivity.
* Collaborate closely with the accounting team to ensure consistency and accuracy across all bookkeeping tasks.
* Monitor and manage workflow volume to meet reporting and compliance deadlines.
* Present regularly at the
Norwood office
to support team operations and communication.
Requirements
* 4–5 years' experience in end-to-end bookkeeping, including BAS and payroll.
* Strong competence in payroll systems (preferably
Bassworx
) and general bookkeeping software.
* Proven ability to manage and support offshore or remote team members.
* Excellent communication, delegation, and time management skills.
* High attention to detail with a proactive and organised approach to workload management.
* Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
* Availability for an immediate start.
