About the role
Classification for this position will be based on your skills and experience, offering the opportunity to join our pharmacy team as either an Allied Health Assistant (AHA1 or AHA2). This role provides valuable support in delivering a safe and comprehensive pharmacy service to patients and staff. You will contribute to the dispensing and distribution of medications, assist with the preparation or manufacture of pharmaceuticals, and support a range of administrative tasks such as reception and cashier duties for both inpatients and outpatients.
At the AHA2 level, you will also play a greater role in packaging pharmaceuticals, managing inventory, assisting with orders, and helping to train and guide other staff. Whether you are just starting your career and keen to grow, or already bringing strong technical skills and pharmacy experience, this position offers a supportive environment where your contribution will directly improve patient care and ensure the efficient delivery of pharmacy services.

Attention to Detail and Organisation - Proven ability to maintain accuracy, follow policies and procedures, and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines in a busy service environment.
Technical and Physical Capability - Competence with computers, data entry, and pharmacy software, supported by manual dexterity and the physical ability to perform stock movement and handling duties.
Learning and Professional Knowledge - Willingness to learn new skills and pursue relevant training, with knowledge of pharmacy practices, confidentiality, and (at the AHA2 level) deeper understanding of pharmaceuticals, medical terminology, and PBS processes.
