About the role
Reporting to the General Manager of Furniture and based onsite at the corporate office in Homebush West, you will be responsible for identifying and reviewing Furniture products that meet a high standard of quality and value, with the intention of recommending the products to relevant Harvey Norman and Domayne Franchisees nationwide.
You will;
* Build and maintain efficient relationships with Furniture suppliers.
* Collaborate with the General Manager to identify and recommend Furniture products.
* Plan, recommend, and execute advertising strategies across multiple media channels.
* Socialise recommended promotions and strategies to each relevant Franchisee.
* Manage relevant committees and support annual conferences.
* Deliver weekly business updates and ad-hoc reports as needed.
* Identify and recommend visual merchandising standards to relevant Franchisees.
About you
You have prior experience as a buyer in a retail environment, with a keen interest in Furniture, Outdoor Furniture and BBQ's. You stay updated on current and emerging trends in comfort and design.
You will also have:
* Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
* Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Retail experience in a medium to large organisation with multiple locations, along with a strong understanding of consumer trends and buying behaviours.
* Exceptional time management and organisational skills; the ability to prioritise and control your own workload in our fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
* A high level of professionalism and dedication to the business.
