About the role
As the Clinical Nurse Consultant (AODS) Consultation Liaison, you will be the calm, capable, go‐to expert helping patients at Rockhampton Hospital access specialist alcohol and other drug support. This role is a mix of clinical leadership, problem-solving, teamwork, and advocacy.
You will provide expert advice, deliver brief interventions, coordinate complex care, and work closely with multidisciplinary teams to create holistic, client‐centred support plans. You will navigate complex clinical situations, build partnerships, liaise with services, and translate clinical jargon into meaningful action. It is fast‐paced, rewarding, and perfect for someone who loves using both their clinical brain and people skills to make a difference.
About you
* You currently hold registration with AHPRA.
* Bonus points for postgraduate qualifications in Alcohol & Other Drugs or advanced nursing practice.
* Solid expertise in AODS, with the confidence to deliver safe, evidence‐based care.
* Sharp clinical judgement and problem‐solving skills – complex care is your comfort zone.
* A collaborative spirit and ability to build strong working relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
* Excellent communication skills, from supporting patients to liaising with services.
What we offer
Total monthly remuneration value of up to $14,447 p.m. is comprised of:
* An hourly rate between $70.58 – $76.63 p.h.
* 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
