About the Role:
As a Retail Assistant Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the Site Manager with the day‐to‐day operations of the site. You'll lead by example, help guide the team and ensure every customer leaves with a positive experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Support and uplift your team by leading from the front, you help set the tone and bring the energy when it counts.
* Help create a safe, friendly, customer‐first environment that customers and team members enjoy being part of.
* Assist with kitchen/café operations, including food preparation, presentation, hygiene and service quality, stepping in where needed.
* Support day‐to‐day site operations, including stock control, fuel, cash handling and overall store presentation.
* Keep the site running smoothly, clean, organised and ready for busy periods.
* Use your judgement and initiative to support strong site performance and continuous improvement.
* Work closely with the Site Manager and team to improve, refine and evolve the site, input and ideas are always encouraged.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

* Outstanding communication skills – both written and verbal
* A proactive, problem‐solving mindset
* This position involves manual handling duties, requiring the ability to lift and move items weighing up to 20kg and 16kg regularly, in accordance with safe work practices
* Set shifts from Sunday to Thursday, Working mid morning through until late afternoon with flexibility to work across the day if required.
* Adaptable and confident in using technology
* Due to restriction/requirements on the sale of particular products, all applicants must be 18 years or older at commencement.
