As a Field Research Officer, you will play a vital role in collecting accurate and high-quality data that informs government, business, and community decisions across Australia.
You will visit assigned households and initiate conversations to capture the views and behaviours of Australians.
Responsibilities
* Visit assigned households and confidently initiate conversations at the door.
* Build rapport quickly, manage refusals and objections respectfully, and ensure informed consent.
* Conduct accurate, structured interviews on a wide range of topics.
* Record observations, follow safety and privacy protocols, and maintain strict confidentiality.
* Plan your weekly schedule to meet agreed hours, including at least one weekend day.
Requirements
* Be a resilient relationship-builder who can bounce back from rejections and stay friendly and professional.
* Be an empathetic communicator who listens well and handles sensitive topics with care.
* Be an organised self-starter who can manage your time, plan routes, keep tidy records, and meet targets without constant supervision.
* Be tech-comfortable and confident with tablets and following on-screen scripts/protocols.
