We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic Mental Health team. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals experiencing mental health challenges through high-quality clinical care, advocacy, and support.

The successful applicant(s) shall provide advanced nursing assessment, diagnosis, care and intervention to patients and families within the scope of practice of a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the Mental Health Crisis Centre at Fremantle Hospital. The Nurse Practitioner – Mental Health performs advanced physical assessment, orders diagnostic tests, interprets the results of these tests, initiates referrals to relevant health providers, and prescribes appropriate medications and other therapies as needed. The Nurse Practitioner – MH provides clinical leadership as appropriate. Develops and maintains evaluation processes of patient outcomes relevant to the Nurse Practitioner scope of practice. The NP scope of practice is built on the platform of the registered nurse (RN) scope of practice and must meet the regulatory and professional requirements for Australia including the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) Registered nurse standards for practice, safety and quality guidelines for nurse practitioners, code of conduct for nurses and International Council of Nurses' code of ethics for nurses. The successful applicant(s) shall be part of a multidisciplinary team that provides clinical and professional expertise to ensure comprehensive evidence-based nursing care is delivered to patients within the 24/7 Mental Health Crisis Centre (MHCC). This role will require shifts in the day, evening and nights.
